That’s really disappointing that a restaurant known for their steak was overcooked and had no sauce… but either way I hope you had a great time with friends 🙂

What a shame! The food does sound lacking in quite a few areas, and as you say, private dining rooms can just equate to being parked somewhere on your own without much atmosphere. At least the desserts were free…

They sure did miss an opportunity for good will by not comping that steak! It had such promise and then didn’t deliver! What a shame!

I have a request. I’d love a “follow up” post on how Arabella is doing? Is she back to work and school and functioning independently or still recuperating? I have really been concerned for her. When you can…. 🙂

Private dining rooms…don’t mind that much. But overcooked steak? Big no no. Charged gor uneaten food and extra for sauce? That sucks. It’s sweet of them to give dessert, but not enough to return. How disappointing.

Dear Charlie,

I haven’t been here since they took over the premises from the previous restaurant. The steak does look rather disappointing and good home cooks would have done a better job and with good sauce too.

Bummer about your meal — I hate ordering things and find they just can’t be eaten. And although I don’t like too much service (I like to pour my own wine, for example), it’s nice to see wait staff at least sometimes. At least it sounds like the company was loads of fun!

How disappointing, Private rooms sound like a good idea but they do need dedicated staff or things do go wrong. GG
